Step 2: Presentation
1. Show pictures of different hobbies and ask the students to say what they are in English.
2. Introduce the sentence pattern: What's your hobby? My hobby is collecting stamps/postcards/coins. Do you like listening to classical music? Yes, I do./No, I don't. Can you play chess? Yes, I can./No, I can't.
3. Play the recording for the students to listen and repeat the sentences.
Step 3: Practice
1. Divide the students into pairs. Let them ask and answer questions about their hobbies using the new sentence pattern.
2. Walk around the classroom and provide help and guidance to the students as needed.
3. Choose some pairs to share their conversations with the whole class.
Step 4: Production
1. Ask the students to think about their own hobbies and prepare a short presentation about it.
2. Invite some students to come to the front of the class and share their hobbies with the rest of the class.
Step 5: Consolidation
1. Review the new words and sentence patterns with the whole class.
2. Summarize what the students have learned in this lesson.
Step 6: Homework
1. Ask the students to write a short paragraph about their hobbies.
2. Encourage the students to use the new words and sentence patterns they have learned.
