7月25日至8月3日，七所完全中学举办了为期10天的英语夏令营活动。此次活动是由美中教育机构(esec)和教育局联合主办，由香港施永青基金会等机构大力资助的。时光飞逝，10天的夏令营活动结束了。现对在中学开展的英语夏令营活动做一总结。
此次活动是为丰富学生的暑假生活，提高学生的英语学习兴趣，拓宽学生的视野而开展的。弥补了传统英语教学形式上的不足，丰富了学校的英语教学，激发了学生的学习兴趣，丰富了学生的英语知识，提高了学生的学习能力和团队意识。
中学的英语夏令营活动是由来自山西的3名大学生志愿者主持，由本校3名优秀英语教师辅助开展的。这种”1+1”的合作模式有利于优化课程设计，使课程更贴近学生的实际，为此次活动的顺利开展奠定了良好的基础。此次活动的主体是中学初中的百位优秀学生。来自不同年级的学生随机混合组成三个班，这样有利于实施以学生为中心的教学法，使学生相互学习，共同进步。
此次活动的课程设计是由志愿者和本校的教师参考美中教育机构提供的模板，根据当地实际情况精心设计的。志愿者和教师对课程内容灵活操作，将玩与学有机结合，寓教于乐。主体内容有意在提高英语听说读写能力的各种游戏如hot potato、who am i等和意在提高团队凝聚力的music chair、english song等。还有涉及英美文化、利用手势突破发音。此外，老师们还放映了适合初中英语学习的英文电影。志愿者还利用准备的材料和自身特长教给了孩子们一些英语歌曲和舞蹈。总之，此次活动的内容丰富，形式多样，满足了初中生的发展需求。
此次活动中，学生们除了学到英语知识和学习方法外还了解到了现代大学生的生活是什么样的。这些见识增强了学生们对大学的向往，增强了学生们的`学习动力和学习兴趣。志愿者和教师的鼓励和关爱帮助孩子们突破心理障碍，树立自信，有利于孩子们的健康成长。
我们通过此次活动，获得了一些宝贵的经验，通过和师生交流也发现了一些问题。这对以后的教学工作和类似的活动的开展都有有益的指导意义。成功的经验是要夯实基础知识，丰富教学形式，引进教学方法，激发学习兴趣，提高学习能力。发现的问题是学生们的英语基础知识薄弱，如不能根据音标识读单词，没能掌握语法基础知识(句子成分，词类等)。在以后的教学工作中，我们要注重基础知识，多给英
语老师自主权，让其尽展才华，丰富教学方法。在以后类似活动中，我们应注意立足本校实际情况，同时积极配合志愿者组织安排活动内容。
此次活动总体上是成功的，我们希望以后能有更多类似的活动来丰富学生们的学习生活。
