Titanic Movie Review – Part One
The Titanic movie, directed by James Cameron, is an epic historical drama that takes the audience on a journey through one of the most tragic events in history. As I watched this film, I was captivated by the stunning visuals, powerful performances, and the emotional depth of the story.
From the very beginning, the movie sets the stage for the inevitable tragedy that awaits the passengers of the ill-fated Titanic. The attention to detail in recreating the ship's lavish interiors and the grandeur of its exteriors is truly impressive. The cinematography captures the vastness of the ocean and the opulence of the Titanic, making the audience feel as if they are on board the ship themselves.
One of the standout aspects of the film is the incredible performances by the cast. Leonardo DiCaprio delivers a compelling portrayal of Jack Dawson, a poor artist who falls in love with Rose DeWitt Bukater, played by Kate Winslet. Their on-screen chemistry is palpable, and their love story becomes the heart of the film. Winslet's performance as a young woman trapped in an arranged marriage is equally impressive, as she portrays the struggles and conflicts within her character with authenticity and vulnerability.
The film also does an excellent job of depicting the stark contrast between the different social classes on board the Titanic. The opulence and luxury enjoyed by the first-class passengers are juxtaposed with the cramped and squalid conditions of the third-class passengers. This stark contrast serves as a reminder of the inequality that existed during that time period.
As the film progresses, the tension builds as the audience becomes aware of the impending disaster. The scenes depicting the sinking of the Titanic are intensely gripping and emotionally charged. The chaos and panic that ensue as the ship starts to sink are portrayed with harrowing realism. The film successfully conveys the sheer scale of the tragedy and the devastating loss of life that occurred.
Overall, the Titanic movie is a masterpiece that combines historical accuracy with compelling storytelling. It is a poignant reminder of the human cost of the Titanic disaster and serves as a testament to the resilience and courage of those who perished. This film will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact on anyone who watches it.
Titanic Movie Review – Part Two
In the second part of my Titanic movie review, I would like to focus on the film's themes and messages, as well as the impact it has had on popular culture.
One of the central themes of the movie is the idea of love transcending social boundaries. The relationship between Jack and Rose defies societal norms and expectations, as they come from vastly different backgrounds. Their love story showcases the power of love to overcome obstacles and bridge the gap between social classes. This theme resonates with audiences, as it speaks to the universal desire for love and connection.
Another theme explored in the film is the hubris of mankind. The Titanic was hailed as the unsinkable ship, a symbol of human achievement and progress. However, the disaster serves as a reminder of the limitations of human power and the unpredictability of nature. This theme serves as a cautionary tale, urging viewers to reconsider their own arrogance and the consequences of unchecked pride.
The impact of the Titanic movie on popular culture cannot be overstated. It became a global phenomenon upon its release in 1997, breaking box office records and winning numerous awards. The film's iconic scenes, such as Jack and Rose standing at the bow of the ship, have become ingrained in popular consciousness. The film's theme song, "My Heart Will Go On" by Celine Dion, became a chart-topping hit and is still recognized as one of the most iconic movie songs of all time.
Furthermore, the movie's success sparked renewed interest in the Titanic disaster. It led to a surge in historical research and exploration of the wreck, as well as the creation of museums and exhibitions dedicated to the Titanic. The movie's impact also extended to the fashion industry, with the film's costumes and aesthetics influencing fashion trends.
In conclusion, the Titanic movie is not just a cinematic masterpiece, but also a cultural phenomenon. Its themes of love, hubris, and the human spirit continue to resonate with audiences worldwide. The film's enduring legacy is a testament to the power of storytelling and the ability of movies to leave a lasting impact on society.
泰坦尼克号观后感英文版 篇三
Ive noticed recently how various critics and the general population treat Titanic horribly with the test of time. I find it shocking how a movie that was regarded as one of the best movies of all time has fallen ill to tons of criticisms. People seem to find it hip now days to bash Titanic and I fail to understand why. I personally find it to be the greatest movie Ive seen, the Academy Awards seemed to think it was a pretty damn good movie, the critics when it first came out werent too harsh and movie-goers truly expressed how the general population felt about Titanic with the gigantic ticket sales.
Now, however, Titanic makes the "overblown movie" lists from several critics, endures extreme mockery and the ridicule of anyone who actually admits to liking it. This may have been due to people wanting to be different from the norm in 1997 and maybe this attitude never went away and too many people fell victim to it. Or maybe it was the cheesy scenes people like to imitate over and over which obviously must mean the entire movie is cheesy. However, I recently watched Titanic the other day and Im going to say why I find it to my favorite movie of all time.
The ship Titanic itself expressed a mentally during this time period in which humans felt they could overcome Mother Nature. With the sinking of this ship it made people truly eat the words "Titanic is an unsinkable ship."
With the character Rose, a first class passenger you are exposed to the arrogance high society had. Rose also opened your eyes to the luxuries high society had and how woman were truly trapped and were seen as second-class citizens. Rose almost committing suicide helps hit home how truly horrible it must have been for woman during this time period. The dynamics between Rose and her mother also show the dynamics between how woman had to behave and in a sense how they survived in this society.
With the character Jack, a third class passenger you are exposed to how large the gab between the rich and poor was. How first class dogs went down to be walked on the lower decks, how it was the poor who actually built Titanic and how it was the poor who were treated truly unfair on Titanic just because of social status, which helped express the mentality of the time.
Having these two characters meet and expose the viewer and each other to these different lifestyles helped truly put into perspective the mentality of what this time period was like. Sure, it was in a way a clich love story, two people from different worlds falling in love. But regardless of it being typical it still exposed the different classes in a way that truly made you realize how it was for people back then. Also, many things are clich for a reason, they most of the time work and have been shown to work time and time again.
Without this love story you would have just come away with the basics of this story, the Titanic sinking. But this love story created sympathy in which you felt for Jack and Rose. It made you truly feel how the people on the Titanic were feeling at that exact moment. Families, loved ones and friends were being torn apart. Without the emotion created from the love story you wouldnt have felt nearly as sad or seriously towards what had actually happened to these people.
As for it being morally wrong on the part of Rose. Well, she was trapped by her mother and society. The man (Cal) whom she was getting married to proved to be inconsiderate towards others, was very mean, rude and thoughtless (even before he knew of the situation between Rose and Jack). He deserved and was asking for everything he got. What Rose did was what many do in youth and sometimes you have to take what life gives you at that moment. Thats exactly what she did and people shouldnt say her actions were immoral. They were done out of love at first sight and out of vengeance towards the arrogant class she was apart of.
Titanic was very authentic and very historically accurate. It did include a lot more then just the love story. It had information about the lifeboats, the binoculars, how exactly it sank, the famous people aboard the ship, and numerous other things. Even things such as the first-class band and their situation, what exactly was sung on the last time day light hit the Titanic at the morning church gathering, increasing more speed regardless of ice warnings and many more examples were all little details included in this movie which made it far more then just a "love story" if you actually paid attention.
The ending of this movie came as a shock to most people. Well, it had several things that were resolved.
-When Jack died. In most love stories they would have both survived and lived happily ever after, but this truly hit home the pain people felt after this shipwreck.
-When Rose actually had the necklace. This shocked me, although many realized it before the ending. I thought releasing it back to the water was cheesy but also very symbolic.
-When they showed the pictures of Rose doing everything her and Jack talked about and dying warm in her bed as he said she would was a wonderful way to end it in my opinion. I dont know why but it just seemed like the perfect way to end it.
-Also how Jack was waiting in the same spot he did earlier in the movie was just too cute.
Titanic did have things in it that were cheesy, like the kissing scene at the front of the boat, the drawing scene and the "Im king of the world" scene. But these sceness helped keep the audience drawn in regardless of their cheese factor. Also running around the ship and opening the locked gate at the last minute before they would have drowned was also cheesy. But it is a movie and you have to have suspense, and even though these things wee unlikely they were still probable and made the movie entertaining.
One of the major flaws people say this movie had was the acting. I however thought it had amazing acting and I saw nothing wrong with it. Acting is something that is hard to pin-point in terms of being good or bad. I find it an easy way to attack any film. If you say the acting is bad, you cannot really "prove" to that person it was good. Acting is something that just goes to personal opinion and you cannot really change someones mind on it. I personally give an A+ for acting and even the script. But one thing to consider is that many shots could only be done a few times or even once because of what they had to do to the sets, making it sometimes hard to get the perfect take.
James Cameron told you some of the ending at the very start of the flim. He showed the Titanic under-water and that Rose survived. This should have made the movie boring, but it didnt. I was still glued to the screen. This really helps prove it was a good movie.二Many cite this as proof positive that modern blockbusters sacrifice everything in favour of computer-generated magic and, while the central romance isnt without its charm, its still the weakest element of the film.
Thus, first-class rich kid Rose DeWitt Bukaer (Winslet) and steerage urchin and struggling artist Jack Dawson (DiCaprio) fall helplessly in love, indulge in some back seat cherry popping and decide on the basis of their two-day relationship that they cant live without each other - until a big iceberg gets in the way of their new-found happiness.
Cameron is no stranger to spectacle, and the amazing boat-sinking effects paper over the cracks in the story so well that even the most cynical viewer is drawn in.

The chase of life
----the Comments on Titanic
Abstract :
Looking at the portrait ,all the memories come before her --- rose , who lives in the high society . Because the nature of herself is pure , she don’t like the circle she lives in . She is screaming
until she meets jack .They fall in love with each other . However , it is a tragedy that the sinking of the Titanic separate them far apart.
Key words :
love , moving , a superb epic , class differences , romance ,
The Titanic , the ship of dream , presents a young love between rose and jack , who lives in the polite society . She detests human injustice , hypocritical , and also don’t like people make unrealistic comparison with each other . She thinks herself just like a golden freckle , beautiful , shining with brilliance , envied by others , but to be herself , she feels lonely , helpless . She want to escape . Jack is a boy who comes form lower society . He is simply but happy , and she does things , which polite society can never accept , just he wants to do . He is different from the people rose meet . I think this is the most important reason that they fall in love with each other . In short , they have the same nature human , good and honest , or ugly and repulsive , will show out . If love is true love , nothing will be important . Just as the case between jack and rose . The most moving part is that jack gives the survival chance to rose . As the old say is going , love is selfless .
The most moving part of this film is not only soul—stirring love between protagonists , but also for the tears on the face of people who just have seen it . A great shock the Titanic gives us lasting a very very long time . Life is precious , but love is more valuable . Always tragedy can leave a deep memory for audiences . But
in my opinion , the Titanic is a movie getting to a successful peak , victory in the tragedy . As the case in the film , Jack gives his life to rose . They are not together in the end , but they have true love , their children , precious experience , which cannot be attained through money . We are all impressed by their bravery , Different people has different view of life . They choose their lives and chase it without giving up . This moves me , too .
Titanic is just like a work of art and almost like a historical biography ,or we can say that it is a true epic , superb epic . It just like an old talking : poor men always with good heart , wealthy men with bad heart , they all fall in love with a beautiful women . Experiencing a series of struggle , the young woman decide to go with the poor men … However , it also breaks the common format . Beyond expectation , the ending is not satisfactory , treating us not very wonderful . It still creates stirring and thrilling .
Class difference is something abstract we cannot touch but to feel and analyze . From ancient time to current time , no matter in human beings or animal society , class differences have always been there . Higher class , bad things always to lower class , as it were . When the Titanic collides with an iceberg , it results to cause tragedy . Rose and Jack have to fight to stay alive , however , as the point to me , Jack dooms to die , because of his lower status as a poor passenger .We can see that most of the died people are poor who live in the lower society , Somebody dies with a child in his / her arm . Somebody dies with his / her lover … They all live themselves . They are brimming with enthusiasm and glowing with enthusiasm , different from those people , who are two –faced , come from upper—class . Upper class people with their pets to the economy class to shit . When people are happy , who will think of those people working in the bottom … Working in a hot room is a real sweat . One hell , one heaven . This is the biggest different that class presents to us . People around rose most have snobbish attitude . ―Remember , they love money , so just pretend like you own a goldmine and you are in the club .‖ can sufficiently display that class can always make an important role .
But life is a gift . Something beautiful comes at them . Romance makes each second count . ― You jump , I jump . You are going to die an old . ‖ As we all know , material needs and spiritual needs both are important to us . This does no business with well—brought or not . They escape people who want to stop them and fight with destiny . Holding your hand , live to an old . True love makes them never give up . Death tests their love . One night , one hand , one car … They make their choice . Embracing tenderly on the board impresses us a perpetual romance .
To put it in a nut shell , I like this movie . It is the most moving movie that I
have watched . The chase of life needs bravery . But chasing true life you want can make you feel happy . Chasing real life makes an important role in our life . If you did everything right you want to do ,then I think that you must enjoy you life now .
