就内容来说，评论可分成多种。
适合中学生撰写的评论有两类：思想评论和文学评论。

写文学评论要注意以下几点：⑴，要注意评论的科学性。

文学评论的写作

我们在阅读一本书、一篇文章、一首诗、一部剧本时，往往对作家、作品产生一些看法和见解，自然地进行一番评价，写下来形成文字，就是文学评论。随着高考作文对文体分类的重新界定，论述类文章越来越受青睐，即便在高考作文的命题中不直接考查文学评论，我们只要熟谙这种文体的写作，也能借助文体不限这一要求利用这种文体在高考获胜。那么怎样才能写好这种文体呢？
一、仔细阅读作品，把握评论对象
这是写好文学评论的基础，因为只有细致地阅读作品，才可能对作品的思想内容、艺术特色有真切的感受；只有对评论对象有准确的把握，才能形成自己的见解，才能形成自己的观点或评论的中心，否则只能是泛泛而谈。阅读一般采取“总体——部分——总体”的步骤，（1）总体，就是从头至尾通读，得出初步而概括的印象；（2）部分，是要对重要部分仔细地读，分析研究，加深印象，发现特色（或发现问题），初步形成观点；（3）总体，是要获得完整的本质的认识，对作品的倾向和艺术性作出自己的判断。在阅读过程中，要及时做好摘记工作，可以一边阅读，一边做评点，随时记录。
二、确定评论中心，进行客观评价
在读书、搜集材料的基础上，选择并确定评论的中心，这里有两个原则要遵守：第一、不同体裁，区别对待。体裁不同，确立评论中心的角度也应有所不同。如：叙事文学的评论，评论的角度应偏重于人物塑造、矛盾冲突等方面。抒情文学的评论，评论的角度应偏重于艺术意境、感情抒发等方面；第二、应有真知，贵在创新。评论的中心，必须从自己对作品的独到见解、真知灼见出发来确立。由于是自己的真知灼见，就可避免雷同，就能创新，评出新水平。要选取作品有意义之点来评。而作品中什么是应选取的有意义之点，什么是要舍弃的无意义之点；什么是自己对于作品的真知灼见，什么是拾人牙慧的旧调重弹、老生常谈；哪些是自己评论时能够驾驭的，哪些是偏大偏难自己力不胜任的。这些都必须通过自己的细心甄别才行。

随着现代社会的发展，人们用微博、微信等传播载体分享自己的生活，使之更容易进入大众视野，评价他人生活变得越来越常见。然而由此所带来的结果却让人喜忧参半。有人愿意对于这种分享倾尽赞美之词，但也不乏以恶语相向的尖酸刻薄之人。对于被评论者，他人之言既不可以偏废，但也不能完全相信，以致被误导。故此，要唯心，唯己之心来作出取舍判断。
“夫以铜为镜，可以正衣冠；以古为镜，可以知兴替；以人为镜，可以明得失。”正如魏征的劝谏一样，他人的议论有如一面光亮的明镜，常常让我们发现自己的不足，从而明白自己的短见与偏执。“旁观者清”，可以说评论是从另一个角度来看待问题，更加全面，深入地看待同一件事物。当然，评论是一把双刃剑，在指出问题的同时，往往也会刺痛你的心灵。当我们太过在意外界的看法后，往往会在这些片面的，甚至是尖刻的评判中迷失自我。史铁生在“人生最轻狂的年纪失去了双腿”，如果他只是以为听信别人对他的不相信与偏见，那么也许他真的会如外界所评论的那样：成为一个只能走在轮椅上的残疾人。但在那最艰苦的岁月中，他选择去相信母亲的话，去倾听合欢树叶的沙沙声……最终他摆脱了肉体的束缚而站上了智慧的高台，用笔来书写灵魂的深刻。他人的评论不可不听，却也不可全信。应学会用心来进行取舍明辨，取其精华而去其糟粕。
面对个人的评论时，人们往往还是能够做出取舍，判断对与错。可是当评论由个人层面上升到了社会层面时，我们是否又能在人云亦云之中保持一份理性的思考？所谓三人成虎，日益严重的这种评论的社会风气已经渐渐让我们失去了那种“柳暗花明又一村”的豁然，而生出一种“不识庐山真面目，只缘身在此山中”的迷茫困惑。所以，唯心不仅是拥有取舍的明辨、善变，在现在这个社会背景下，更重要的是坚守自己的行为标准与道德底线。
纪伯伦曾说：“不要因为走得太远，就忘了我们为什么出发。”人们出于相互分享、交流的善意而开发了这些社交软件，如今却成为了一些人传播谣言甚至是发泄人性黑暗一面的平台和工具。作为被评论者，我们要取舍、要坚守；同样在作为评论者的时候，我们也要秉持正义，这不仅是对他人的负责，更是慎独精神的要求和体现。
“一个人的意义不在于他的成就，而在于他所企求成就的东西。”只要我们每一个人都能够唯心地接受评论，做出评论，相信一定会给这个社会带来更多的正能量。
所谓唯心，即从己之心，也有为他人之心之义也。
