My Summer Vacation Trip to the Beach
During my summer vacation in my second year of junior high, my family and I decided to go on a trip to the beach. We had heard so much about the beautiful beaches and clear blue waters, and we were excited to experience it for ourselves.
We arrived at the beach early in the morning and immediately felt the warm sand under our feet. The weather was perfect, with the sun shining brightly in the clear sky. We quickly set up our beach umbrella and towels and couldn't wait to jump into the water.
As soon as we stepped into the water, we were amazed by its crystal clearness. The waves were gentle, making it perfect for swimming and playing around. I spent most of my time in the water, swimming and building sandcastles with my younger sister. We also tried out some water sports like paddleboarding and snorkeling, which were so much fun.
In the afternoon, we took a break from the water and had a picnic on the beach. My mom had prepared delicious sandwiches and fruit salad, which we enjoyed while basking in the sun. After our picnic, we went for a long walk along the shore, collecting seashells and enjoying the breathtaking views. The beach was so peaceful and serene, and it felt like a paradise.
In the evening, we stayed to watch the sunset. The sky turned into a beautiful mix of orange, pink, and purple hues, reflecting on the calm water. It was a magical moment that I will never forget.
On our way back home, we stopped by a local seafood restaurant and had a delicious dinner. We feasted on fresh fish and shrimp, which were caught that day. It was the perfect end to a wonderful day at the beach.

This summer vacation, I had the opportunity to visit Beijing, the capital city of China. Beijing is known for its rich history and cultural heritage, and I was excited to explore the famous historical sites.

As I walked through the grand entrance gate, I was in awe of the magnificent architecture and intricate details of the palace buildings. I learned about the emperors who once lived there and the important events that took place within its walls. It was like stepping back in time and experiencing the grandeur of ancient China.
Next, I visited the Great Wall of China, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The Great Wall stretches across the country, but I went to the section near Beijing called Badaling. The wall was massive and seemed to go on forever. I climbed to the top and enjoyed the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. It was a challenging hike, but the sense of accomplishment was worth it.
Another historical site I visited was the Temple of Heaven. This ancient temple was used by emperors to pray for good harvests and divine guidance. The temple complex was vast, with beautifully landscaped gardens and intricate architecture. I watched as locals practiced traditional Chinese exercises like Tai Chi and played traditional musical instruments in the park surrounding the temple. It was a peaceful and serene atmosphere.
I also had the chance to visit the Summer Palace, a stunning imperial garden. The palace was surrounded by a large lake, and I took a boat ride to explore the different pavilions and halls. The gardens were meticulously maintained, and the flowers were in full bloom. It was a picturesque scene, and I couldn't resist taking numerous photos.
During my time in Beijing, I also tried the local cuisine, such as Peking duck and dumplings. The flavors were unique and delicious, and I enjoyed experiencing the diverse food culture of the city.
Visiting the historical sites in Beijing was an incredible experience. I learned so much about China's history and was amazed by the beauty and grandeur of the ancient architecture.
