"National day" with the words, this means the State Festival, first seen in the Western Jin dynasty.

Western Jin dynasty literati Lu Ji's in the article of the five leaders on the "national day celebration alone benefit, the main worry-Mo and as a result" record, events in feudal times, State of jubilation, reigned, and the birth of the Great Emperor (Qing dynasty called long live the Emperor's birthday), and so on.

Thus ascended the throne, Emperor's birthday in ancient China as "national day".

Today that country day as a national day.

On October 1, 1949, is the anniversary of the founding of new China.

Here should make the point that in many people's minds, October l 1949 was held today in Beijing's Tiananmen Square with the participation of hundreds of thousands of soldiers and civilians of the People's Republic of China founding ceremony.

In fact, the impression in people's minds is not accurate.

Because, the ceremony was held on October 1, 1949 in Tiananmen Square People's Republic of China Central People's Government the establishment ceremony, instead founding ceremony.

In fact, People's Republic of China "foun

ding fathers", that is, People's Republic of China was established, as early as a week before on October 1 of that year had already announced.

Were not "founding ceremony" but called "founding ceremony".

  On September 21, 1949.

That day, the Director of the Chinese people's political consultative conference preparatory meeting Mao Zedong's opening on the first session of the CPPCC National Committee had been proclaimed the birth of new China.

So what about the October 1 national day is going on? At the first session of the Chinese people's political Consultative Conference National Committee at its first meeting, Xu Guangping, said: "Ma xulun's members leave could not come, he asked me, the People's Republic of China was established, there should be national day, so I hope that this Council decided to designate October 1 national day.

"Mao Zedong said," we should make a proposal to recommend to the Government, decided by the Government.

"Dated October 2, 1949 CPG by People's Republic of China resolution, national day requiring every year October 1 national day and and this day as declared People's Republic of China setting up days.

From then on, October 1 of each year has become the country's peoples solemnly celebrated the Festival.
