Fireworks are not only a visual spectacle, but they also have a rich history and cultural significance. They have been used for centuries to celebrate special occasions and mark important events. The art of creating and displaying fireworks has evolved over time, resulting in the stunning displays we see today.
The origins of fireworks can be traced back to ancient China, where they were invented around 2,000 years ago. Initially, fireworks were used for military purposes, such as signaling and warfare. However, they quickly became a form of entertainment and were used during celebrations and festivals.
Over time, the art of fireworks spread to other parts of the world, including Europe and the Middle East. Fireworks became an integral part of festivals, religious ceremonies, and royal celebrations. They were seen as a symbol of power, wealth, and prestige.
In modern times, fireworks are still used to celebrate various occasions. They are a staple of New Year's Eve celebrations, lighting up the sky as the clock strikes midnight. Fireworks are also commonly used during national holidays, such as Independence Day or Bastille Day, to commemorate important historical events.
The process of creating fireworks has become more sophisticated and specialized over the years. It involves a careful combination of chemicals and pyrotechnic expertise. Different metals and compounds are used to produce the vibrant colors and dazzling effects we associate with fireworks.
Fireworks displays are meticulously planned and choreographed to create a visually stunning experience. This level of precision and artistry makes each fireworks display a unique and mesmerizing spectacle.
However, it's important to remember that fireworks can also be dangerous if not handled properly. They can cause fires, injuries, and even death if used irresponsibly. It is crucial to follow safety guidelines and regulations when using fireworks to ensure the well-being of everyone involved.
In conclusion, fireworks are not just beautiful bursts of color and light; they are a reflection of our history, culture, and creativity. From their humble beginnings in ancient China to the grand displays we see today, fireworks continue to captivate and inspire people around the world. The week long National Day holiday which started from Oct. I has become not only an occasion for celebrating the birth of the nation but also a time for people to relax. After all, under great pressure every day, everyone longs to slow down and rediscover the real fun of life.
My only hope for the week long holiday was also to relax myself well, instead of playing well. I slept until the sun was shinning above, ate my favorite food which I scarcely have because of their high calorie, and enjoyed different kinds of films from day to night.
Usually, I seldom went out during the holidays, as it was too terrible to battle the National Day holiday crowds. But this time, I couldn't resist myself against the performance of music fireworks whose theme was "All Colors of Music".
As a part of the International Music Fireworks Festival, the performance of music fireworks, designed by the Swedish artists, was staged at Century Park in Pudong on the night of October 3.
The scene, a spectacular combination of fireworks exploding in harmony with the music, made powerful visual and audio impact on me. The artists selected for the performance various pieces of music, including classical music by Beethoven and Strauss, some representative popular compositions such as "My Heart Will Go on". With the music, the fireworks were set off in different formations. I could admire the fireworks in the sky as well as their reflections in the water.
Arising from the River surface to the height of 300 meters in the sky, multi-layered and rich colored fireworks formulated an extremely spectacular picture. One of the most eye catchers was that nearly 1000 sparkling pieces of fireworks along the surface of the water formed a red carpet with 80 meters long and 250 meters wide. At the same time, a 10 meter-high waterfall firework rushed downwards the bridge across Jingtian Lake and simultaneously the red lantern shaped fireworks filled the sky. It really took me
on a romantic tour as the fireworks explode.Wish for next chance to see such kind of music fireworks again!
