Hello everyone,
My name is Emily and I am thrilled to be here in this English class. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to all of you.
I was born and raised in the United States, so English is my first language. I have always had a passion for languages and communication, which is why I am excited to be studying English with all of you.
I am currently a sophomore majoring in English Literature at the University of California. I chose to pursue this field because I have always been fascinated by the power of words and how they can shape our understanding of the world. I am particularly interested in exploring different literary genres and analyzing the themes and motifs within them.
In addition to my studies, I have also been involved in various extracurricular activities on campus. I am a member of the university's debate team, where I have the opportunity to engage in lively discussions and develop my public speaking skills. I am also a volunteer tutor at a local community center, where I help students with their English language skills. These experiences have not only allowed me to further develop my own language abilities, but also to help others improve their English skills.
Outside of academics, I enjoy traveling and immersing myself in different cultures. I have had the opportunity to visit several countries, including England, France, and Japan. These experiences have not only broadened my horizons, but also deepened my appreciation for the diversity of languages and cultures around the world.
I am really looking forward to this English class and all the learning opportunities it will provide. I hope to improve my language skills and gain a deeper understanding of the English language and its nuances. I also look forward to getting to know all of you and engaging in interesting discussions and activities together.

Greetings everyone,
I am delighted to have the chance to introduce myself to all of you in this English class.
My name is James and I come from a bilingual family. I was born in the United States, but my parents are from China. Growing up in a multicultural environment has greatly influenced my interest in languages and cultures. English and Mandarin are both my native languages, and I have been studying English since I was a child.
Currently, I am a freshman majoring in International Relations at the University of California. This field of study allows me to combine my passion for languages with my interest in global affairs. I believe that language is a powerful tool that can bridge cultural gaps and foster understanding among different nations. I am particularly interested in exploring how language and diplomacy intersect in international relations.
In addition to my academic pursuits, I am also actively involved in several student organizations on campus. I am a member of the university's Model United Nations club, where I have the opportunity to simulate international negotiations and develop my diplomatic skills. I am also a volunteer at a local language exchange program, where I help international students improve their English language proficiency. These experiences have not only enhanced my language abilities, but also deepened my understanding of different cultures and perspectives.
Outside of my studies, I enjoy playing sports, especially basketball and soccer. I believe that sports can bring people together and transcend language barriers. From a middle class family, I was born in Hsin Ying, Tainan on October 10th, 1965. My father is a civil official at Tainan City Government. My mother is a house wife good at cooking. Although I am the only child of my parents, I am by no mans a spoiled one. On the contrary, I have been expected to be a successful man with advanced education. I study hard at school.
Besides texts knowledge, journalism is my favorite; whenever reading, my heart is filled with great joy and interesting.“Being good is must; successful, however, is plus.” Father adopts the idea of his father. Especially in military service, I realized it more precisely. People said: Military service makes a boy to man, I agree that.I realized the importance of English and began to study diligently when I was eighteen. I wen-jie Chen, a listen to this name, you may think I am a man. Actually I am a woman, about my name but has a history. My name is surianoka originally, but! We there and there was a man called Yu Chen morning, mom and dad think might call, so I then named wen-jie Chen. But a census, the staff ask me call what name, grandpa accidentally write wrong. At first I dont know my name changed, until when I was in first grade, the teacher in the classroom homework we write the name. I just write the result teacher gave me a bollocking. This name was later brought me constantly, once our school organization to visit jiangxin island, the island seems to be a hero of the museum, which have the very personal call wen-jie Chen. This, more hateful, grade three, we place a unit are also the book about heroes, there is a man called wen-jie Chen, and his background is also the most black, as a result, the students say he is the black.
